1. Booking
Bookings can be made easily on the website. We can not reserve rental items over the phone. Bookings should be made at least 2 days in advance; this allows us to transfer rental items as needed to make sure we have exactly what you need. If you have any questions or inquiries, please contact us at info@thebaseyukon.com. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
2. Payment
Payment is required at the time of the booking. You can complete payment online on the website. Payment can be made with a credit card. We use Stripe payment system, which is a secure service. You can read more about their security information here.
3. Changes and Cancellation Policy
If a cancellation or reduction occurs within 14 Days of the rental date, or in case of no show, there is a 100% cancellation fee. If a cancellation or reduction occurs within 30 days, a 50% cancellation fee applies. This will be 50% of original booking total. Outside of that time period cancellations are given a full refund. Renter can change their booking if items are still available any time prior to 48 hours before their rental.
If flight is cancelled or delayed, there is no refund for this. Rental items could have been booked to another customer. Please consider Travel Insurance before you travel.
4. Rental Period
Rentals are per calendar day. Not 24-hour period, or per night. Summer rentals start at/after 9 AM on the first day of your rental period and end at/before 4:30 PM on the last day. Winter rental period starts from 2 PM to the next day at 12 PM.
5. Picking up and Returning Your Rental Equipment
You can pick up your rental equipment during our store hours on the first day of your rental and may return no later than closing time on the last day of your rental. Either you or someone else can pick up your order. If another person will be picking up, he/she will need to know what name the order is booked under. Photo identification is required on all rentals, and out-of-country renters must present a passport. You must be 18+ years old to rent from THE BASE Outdoor Rentals.
We do our best to make sure your rental equipment is in top shape at the time of your rental. If you discover any missing or damaged items upon receipt, please contact us immediately so that we can make arrangements to replace the items if desired. All rental returns will require 24 hours to process to ensure the rental equipment is in good condition without damage.
6. Missing and Damaged Items
Renter is responsible for rental items from the time of pick-up/delivery until the items are returned to THE BASE Outdoor Rentals. Renter is liable for the replacement cost of lost items.
If the renter has missing items upon return, he/she will be informed as soon as possible. If any of the rental items is lost, stolen, or considered un-rentable* by THE BASE Outdoor Rentals standards, the renter will be charged at full replacement value. If any missing items can be located and returned within one week of your specified return date, we will refund the full amount. *THE BASE Outdoor Rentals has full discretion on assessed damages. Please remember to never leave your rental equipment unattended.

7. Bear Spray Rental
We scale the weight of each rental bear spray once it is returned to us to make sure it is used or unused (the weight of each bear spray before renting out is labelled at the bottom of each spray). If it is used, the retail price of CAD60 + GST will be charged.
8. Unused Equipment
Rental items are charged for time out, not for use. Every item that leaves THE BASE Outdoor Rentals is treated the same way upon return, used or not. This ensures that every item you receive is clean, sanitized, and food safe. No refunds are given for items that were not used during your rental.
9. Cleaning
Your equipment must be returned to us dry, free of mud and heavy dirt. If not, a cleaning charge of CAD30 + GST for the equipment will be applied.
10. Late Returns
Rental items returned late without prior notification will be charged 1-day rental rate (1 night 2 days) of your chosen package for each day late. If you are not able to return your rentals on time, please inform us to info@thebaseyukon.com
For Winter Season (Nov 1st - Apr 30th)

Renter can change the size of rental items once at no additional cost at THE BASE Outdoor Rentals (no delivery service for changing) if items are available. Please contact us to see the availability in advance.
4. Late Returns

Late returns mean returning rental items after 12 PM at THE BASE Outdoor Rentals, or not returning rental items by 12 PM at the front desk of the hotel if renter chooses delivery service.
